Pebble Beach is a rocky beach at the end of Sunrise Trail in Rancho Palos Verdes, minutes from my maternal grandparents' home in Los Angeles, California. Walking the trail was always a joy as all of the views featured Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean, and until you turned around, it was all downhill. We didn't spend much time at the beach, but it was a different perspective for me to look for it down a cliffside instead of sauntering over to it through Florida's sugar sand.
