My childhood neighbor had wall decor in her kitchen that proclaimed, "Let's do sunset." And I must tell you, sunset along the Emerald Coast of the Florida peninsula is something special.  Despite spending most of my teenage years there, I have caught the green flash over the water only a few times, but I have seen countless breathtaking, colorful scenes. On the evening depicted in my work, a storm was coming over the Gulf of Mexico. Instead of being gray or overcast due to the storm, the sunset was purple, bright, and reflecting off of the clouds rolling in.
