For four years, I was a member of the Fl33rd Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps unit at Niceville Senior High School in Florida. I joined JROTC looking for friendship, camaraderie, and to learn more about the GI Bill, but I found so much more. My senior year I served as the first semester corps commander, was promoted to the rank of Cadet Colonel, received the NHS Senior AFJROTC Subject Award, and  coordinated the AFJROTC headquarters 4 year visit & inspection. My direct involvement with JROTC helped me get into college with multiple scholarships, and established a groundwork in high school which instilled in me leadership skills, academic curiosity, physical prowess, and a genuine passion to serve my community.

This series, created my senior year of high school, focuses on the AFJROTC uniform and what it stands for.
